Liz Phair, old stuff
I ran into some old stuff by Liz Phair, which made me understand why some people are disappointed by her new work. My daughter likes her, but I was pretty neutral, but I really like the older songs that I heard.

Kandinsky is one of my favorites too. I saw an exhibit of his years ago at the Met.
I left out Van Gogh.
I guess I could see Paula Modersogn-Becker being a little related to Linda Ronstadt. And maybe Alice Neal and the Blues in general.
How do you think music and art are related. Are there paintings that make you think of a song or vice versa.
Well, here are some of my favorite artists. I'll think later about their songs:
Paula Modersohn-Becker
Kathe Kollwitz
Alice Neal
Kandinsky
Paul Klee
Leanard Baskin
Maurice Sendak
Faith Ringgold
I've been listening a lot to the Indigo Girls. Also some older folk singers: Buffy St. Marie, Tom Paxton, Melanie.
