It really shows the potential of Stanley Clark, Al DiMeola, Lenny White and Chick Corea. I had the opportunity to see them in 1977 and they were really this good.

Since embedding was disabled on this one in YouTube, I just can provide a URL to that location.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPfGvKxobfk

http://www.mystrands.com/member/bobcline/journal/4111

When it rains in the Northwest U.S. (where I live) it never thunders in the rainy season. We do get the very, very rare thunderstorm in the summer, but it never thunders in the winter when we get our famously dreary rains.

http://www.mystrands.com/member/bobcline/journal/2933

It chimes every millenia. To find out more about the clock and the Long Now Foundation check out the URL:

http://www.longnow.org

Another interesting and related link to check out is:

http://www.inpraiseofslow.com/

This details many aspects of the "slow movement" that is gaining a lot of attention over in
Europe.

Both the Long Now Foundation and the "slow movement" promote long term thinking and basically slowing down and occaisionally "stopping to smell the roses".

I personally think that all of these concepts are good things and are becoming increasingly rare.

http://www.mystrands.com/member/bobcline/journal/2635
