Kilowatts - Problem/Solved

Kilowatts has released a remix album that i did a remix for.

Problems/Solved is the remix album follow-up to KiloWatts' Problem/Solving album, featuring remixes by such notables as Deru, The Marcia Blaine School for Girls, and The Alpha Conspiracy. The cinematic and masterful tracks from Problem/Solving grow into an entirely new, but somehow familiar, collection, spanning ambient drones and breakbeat wizardry.

Problems/Solved is a digital-only release. You can purchase the tracks through iTunes and other digial distributors, and you can purchase high-quality DRM-free mp3s at the artificial music machine store.

Here is a sample of the remix i did:
Scraped on the way out (Ears Akimbo mix) (mp3)

The album is a digital release only, you can buy from artificialmusicmachine.com, cdbaby or on iTunes!

http://www.mystrands.com/member/EarsAkimbo/journal/3310

Chris Cunningham videos

Chris Cunningham is a British music video film director and video artist.

He started as a comic book artist for the UK weekly 2000 AD under the name Chris Halls.

His video work, "Flex" (containing original music by Aphex Twin) was exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in 2000.

He has worked on special make-up effects for the films Alien?, Alien: Resurrection and Judge Dredd and model making on Hardware and Nightbreed. He also worked for over a year on the film A.I. when it was a Stanley Kubrick project.

Cunningham once had plans to direct a film of Neuromancer by William Gibson, and of the comic book series RanXerox, as well as A Scanner Darkly by Philip K Dick. He has said in at least two interviews that he no longer wishes to adapt someone else's work, but write his own screenplay.

Videography
* "Space Junkie" (1996) video for Holy Barbarians
* "Another Day" (1996) video for Lodestar
* "Personally" (1996) video for 12 Rounds
* "Something To Say" (1997) video for Jocasta
* "Jesus Coming In for the Kill" (1997) video for Life's Addiction
* "Tranquillizer" (1997) video for Geneva
* "No More Talk" (1997) video for Dubstar
* "Light Aircraft On Fire" video for Auteurs
* "Back With The Killer Again" video for Auteurs
* "The Next Big Thing" video for Jesus Jones
* "36 Degrees" video for Placebo
* "Second Bad Vilbel (1995)" video for Autechre
* "Only You" (1998) video for Portishead
* "Afrika Shox" video for Leftfield (1999)
* "Come On My Selector" (1998) video for Squarepusher
* "Frozen" (1998) video for Madonna
* "All is Full of Love" (1998) video for Bj?rk
* "Come to Daddy", (1997) "Windowlicker" (1999) and "Monkey Drummer" (2001) videos for Aphex Twin
* "Rubber Johnny" (2005), using a track from Aphex Twin's album drukqs

(text from wikipedia )

Bj?rk - All Is Full Of Love

Squarepusher - Come On My Selector

Aphex Twin - Windowlicker (beware, strong language)

Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy

The maverick filmmaker recently returned from an unofficial creative hiatus with the release of a six-minute short film called Rubber Johnny about a huge-headed mutant imbecile trapped in a basement. Backed once again by the music of Aphex Twin, the clip (and its accompanying photo/sketchbook filled with grotesque body formations) fits into Cunningham's deep-space-weird canon as it follows the title character (played-- reluctantly, it seems-- by the director) through a quick edit phantasmagoria of splattering night-vision images. I called Cunningham at his English home recently to chat about Johnny, his videos, working with Stanley Kubrick, and the dearth of activity that's left hungry fans salivating for his next round of visual feasts. "I feel like I'm about to get busy again," he says. An army of freaks rejoice.

(from: Chris Cunningham interview at pichfork)

http://www.mystrands.com/member/EarsAkimbo/journal/261
