Hi everyone,
I'm a 17 year old guy from Melbourne, Aus. I play alto sax and piano and sing and have been known to write songs. I'm not playing in a band at the moment, but check out my mates' band, www.myspace.com/julietsend. At least one of their members describes their sound as 'scrindie alternacore'. They're better than the tag suggests.
I used to listen to punk rock exclusively, but over the last year or two my tastes have broadened to include many other forms of indie. At the moment I'm really digging bands like The Mountain Goats and The Decemberists, I recently saw The Mountain Goats at the Corner Hotel and John Darnielle rocked my socks.

Arctic Monkeys = No
MC Lars is the clearly the coolest and funniest white rapper ever, Sage Francis is the best lyricist in terms of white rappers...and that's enough about that genre.
Bad Religion are probably my fave band of all time. The Living End are also up there.
