Shaken, stirred or submerged?
Not only can a martini be shaken or stirred but submerged. Submerging the martini is where you pour your cocktail ingredients into the shaker and rather than adding ice to the shaker, you submerge the shaker into an ice bin. This, of course, will take longer to cool-about 10 minutes or so to be done properly-but will be free of the influence of any water. Truly for the purist.
