Terrific.

The Art Of Rolling

This album, released in April of 2005, hit the US with a resounding dud it seemed, though the band picked up popularity in Europe and have enjoyed success touring there for the past year. I attended a concert last summer and, let me tell you, these boys are the real deal; they are incredible showmen and it is easy to see that they are all good friends--which means that they will continue to make great music for years to come. The songs are catchy more than anything--"Product of DK", "Coeur de Lion"--and when they get slower--"Baby I've Got Time"--it's as if they transfer you to another world. Stamp of approval from me; their concert opened up with "I Remember the Days"; I suggest your listening experience should, as well.

Excellent Album.

Hot Pink

I was first turned off by this somewhat glitzy-80's-esque, modified drugs-and-girls persona that these boys exude, but no more. The music is very reminiscent of long-lost swingin' sixties, somewhat Kink-y, and when the Pink Spiders do throw in an unexpected reference ("Going Steady"...'no more sex until we're going steady') it's more humorous than offensive when paired against the backdrop of their sixties music. Good album to pick up if you are looking for an album that you can let play in your cd or ipod without skipping around.
