One Restaurant and Wine Bar

Okay, it's not in Corvallis, but WOW! Sue told me about this palce. Great food swanky atmosphere. Made me happy. So when in Albany check 'em out.

The only deficiency was a somewhat limited bar. But then I would notice this.

Okay, so all I hear is the Cantina, the Cantina. I don't get this. The Cantina is a TOTAL dive. Squirrels is better even though they remind me of an enlarged restroom. At least I get the feeling they take a firehose to the place periodically. How is the bar at El Presidente? And why is there no decent lounge in this town?

Located at 150 SW Madison. Fabulous food! Seating is limited and it's not super cheap but worth it. Open for dinner only.

Sahalie's Cellar

Just before New Years Eve my husband and I went into Sahalie's Cellar. The menu was enticing and light. As we were finishing up a band began their warm-up. To our suprise and delight the band "School of Cool" was really terriffic! Sahalie's has live music Weds., Fri. and Sat. evenings from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Most of the groups are blues or jazz, the atmosphere is very cozy and the crowd is more middle-aged than college-aged.

Sahalie's Cellar is located in the Water Street Market on 1st Street.
