Fluorescent Clothes

Remember the year that fluorescent clothes were the in thing? I had black pants with fluorescent pink, orange, green and yellow hearts on them. But that wasn't all. I also had sweatshirts and socks in fluorescent pink, orange, green and yellow. All I can say in my own defense is that it wasn't as terribly, horribly bad at the time as it sounds now.

I can't promise pictures, but I'll see what I can do. I think it's interesting that, although many websites write about the fluorescent trend of the 80s, none -- that I've found, anyway -- have pictures.

Hm...not quite. I found the top picture in my search, too. The jacket on the woman on the left is the closest to what I'm talking about. The bottom picture isn't even in the same ballpark. If you can, picture a package of highlighters turned into clothing.

Here:

Like this, only without the purple and blue. There was no such thing as "getting dressed in the dark" when your wardrobe emitted its own glow.
