Rogue beer review

~ January 9, 2007 at 21:37 by suebee3 (Views: 32 )

Well to save you a little time and damage to your liver, here are two Oregon beer reviews:

1 - Rogue Oregon Ale - I'll give it 4 kegs, slighlty hoppy for my taste but an overall pleasant beer of which you good grink more than one.
2 - Rogue Smoke Ale - Is it possbile to give it negative kegs? Probably my least favorite beer ever and I have sampled in many countries in 50 states. If you ever order the beer sampler at Rogue, this will be the one you have to dare someone to finish. Nasty taste which I couldn't even say was smoke flavored.

If you are interested in a deal on 20 ounce bottles of Rogue, make a visit to the brewery in Newport during a sale event.

Cheers!

Oregon Beer Reviews

Well, aside from having cool, funny, beer videos, maybe we should have something about acutally drinking beer on here!

Right, so once a week or so I am going to post a review about some local beer brewed in Oregon. The ratings will be from 0 to 5 kegs. Obviously 5 kegs is the best.

Since I recently imbided 2 pitchers of it, let's review a brew made in McMinnville.

Beer : Tannen Bomb
Brewery : Golden Valley
Rating : 4.5 kegs

This brew was an ass kicker!!! It clocks in at 8.5%, which is pretty strong in my book. They call it a winter warmer and it is. It is a pretty malty beer, with almost no hop aroma, and some bittering. However, it does have a great carmely, nutty flavor that goes down real smooth. This is thier winter seasonal and I suggest you try to get your hands on some if you get the chance.

If you happen to be in Corvallis, it is on tap at Suds & Suds at this very moment!

Until next week, may you allways get good head.

What could be better than a beer or three?

~ June 9, 2006 at 18:08 by aficionado (Views: 15 )

This is bad, very bad... From the Digital Music News today:

iPods Trump Beer Drinking in Recent College Survey

What could be better than a beer or three? According to one recent survey,
the iPod is now more important to college students than beer drinking. The
finding was published by college market research firm Student Monitor, which
found that 73 percent of all students described the iPod as "in," compared
to 71 percent for beer. Student Monitor, which regularly runs the survey,
interviewed 1,200 students across 100 universities for the result. Beer has
topped the ranking in almost every other poll, though the internet topped
the list in 1997. Other favorites included using Facebook, text messaging,
and drinking other types of alcohol.

The result is comical, especially for those that have survived the
heavy-drinking and animal house rituals of college. But underneath the
result is an iPod that keeps gaining strength, despite heavy and continued
competition from rival portable MP3 manufacturers. Just last year, the iPod
received a nod from 59 percent of students, making the latest leap quite
remarkable. And even among early-adopting college students, the stand-alone
iPod player is holding quite strongly against mobile phones, many of which
now offer MP3 playback capabilities.
