Here is a review of a non-oregon beer. It is brewed in close by california. In fact it may be one of the only things I like about california!
Anyway, this beer has an amazing flavor and aroma. The aroma of hops is wonderful! Very flowery, which would cause some to think it is bitter. No so! It is not very bitter at all, just good hop flavor. This is complemented by the rye. They use rye grains to brew with, which gives it that rye dryness to it. It also helps to up the alcohol percentage a bit, up to 7.5%.
All that has combined to make it my current favorite beer. Yummy!
Beer : Hop Rod Rye
Brewery : Bear Republic Brewery
Rating : 5 kegs!

Take one corona, place in freezer carefully for about 2 hours. Make sure it does not get bumped against anything during this time.
Remove from freezer
Tap bottom of bottle on a table gently
Instant corona ice :)
Here is my entry into the rogue beer foray.
Dead guy ale. Even though it is labeled as an ale, it is really a bock that is brewed using
ale yeast. It is a lighter drinking beer with a heavy beer taste. Not to hoppy, just right to drink 2 or 3 or 6, or in my favorite container, the growler, 64ozs of goodness. And if you are lucky enough to be able to find one, around October/November they sell bottles with glow in the dark labels, great to take to a halloween party!
The Fox & Firkin recently had Rogue's Imperial Porter on tap, and whoa ... it tasted like the bottom of a large coffee pot, but once you got past that, look out! I can handle multiple beers in a single sitting without getting too silly, but after one pint of Imperial Porter during lunch, and I was giggling all afternoon. Rogue claims something like 8% for this stuff, but I would put it closer to 10%, like the Russian Imperial Oatmeal Stout offered by what used to be the Oregon Trader and is now called the Calapooia Brewing Company in Albany.
