Ok... I know everyone likes this book... BUT think of it this way. The giver was FEMALE and the taker was MALE. Ring any bells? Can you say conditioning?

I thought of it more like a mother-son thing. Which is still the female giver and male taker. I'm suprised no one mentioned this book in my Women's Studies class. BUT GOLLY don't ruin it!
