Odd Behavior with iTunes

I installed the discovery program, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. when I open itunes the discovery ikon pops and but then disappears. i re-downloaded it and it had no effect. do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for your question. To help us investigate this further, please email support@mystrands.com and let us know whether you're running on Windows or Mac, and the version numbers of your OS and iTunes. Here are a couple of things to try in the meantime.
If you're using Mac, check which version of OSX you're using. The currrent version of Discovery works with OSX 10.4 or later. If you are using OSX 10.3, please download the previous version of Discovery from http://www.mystrands.com/files/MyStrands.pkg.zip.
If you're running on Windows, there could be a problem with whether discovery really closed. To fix this, close iTunes, then check the Processes tab in Windows Task Manager and see if there is a process named "MyStrands_iTunes.exe" running. If so, end that process by selecting it, right clicking and choosing "end process." Start iTunes again and MyStrands should open.
