Entourage

~ August 28, 2007 at 12:01 (Views: 25 )

Over the weekend I caught up on season 4 of entourage and am eagerly awaiting the final episode which will air this Sunday, and I somehow had great timing cause Stacy and I will be in Las Vegas visiting our friends who turned us onto the show in the first place.

Season 4 has lived up to my expectations with some extremely memorable moments and one that will be burned into my brain forever.

Great series on DVD

I have been pretty much watching nothing but television series on DVD with my blockbuster subscription. Since most people talk about new movies and I have been immersed in these series and have not seen many new movies I thought I would list some of the ones I have been watching.

Six Feet Under - This was a show that was on HBO and lasted for 5 years, the story lines revolve around a family whose father is killed in a car accident and the 2 sons are left to run the family business, "Fisher and Sons Mortuary". This series is driven by its character development and each episode starts out with a soon to be client of the business... This show is phenomenal and ranks right up there with the likes of Sopranos.

Dead Like Me - This is a show that originally aired on Showtime and lasted 2 seasons. It follows the life of a young lady who meets her demise all too soon and enters the world of the undead as a grim reaper. She has to learn the ways of the reapers and harvest souls...all while earning a wage cause reapers are not payed and even the undead need a place to stay. This is a good show with an interesting idea, it is not quite as good as Six Feet Under but it is definitely worthy of checking out. I have seen episodes of this show on sci-fi channel so you could watch a basic cable friendly version and decide if you like it.

Weeds - This is also a Showtime original and is currently still being produced. This show follows the life of a suburban family whose father / husband meets his untimely demise and in order to keep the kids and the life they have become accustom too in the posh neighborhood she is forced to sell marijuana to pay the bills. The first season is excellent and is worth watching just for Kevin Nealon, I will be starting the second season soon and have heard that it is as good as the first which is a good thing.

Stay tuned for more about these shows and new shows to come! Including one that I am really interested in, called Dexter that just got the first season released on DVD.
