b. 6 September 1958, USA. Foxworthy is a highly successful comedian and writer who has appeared on country radio and released a string of platinum-selling albums. He walked out of a successful job at IBM to become a stand-up comedian, developing his famous catchphrase "You might be a redneck if . . .", an example being: "You might be a redneck if you lost a tooth opening a beer can." The southern states have taken Foxworthy to heart and appreciate that his humour is affectionate. He collaborated with Little Texas for "Party All Night" and makes a guest appearance in Alan Jackson's video for "I'm In Love With You Honey And I Don't Even Know Your Name". Foxworthy's US television series ran for two successful seasons, he hosts a weekly country countdown show, and his spin-off merchandising remains big business. His albums have now sold over 15 million copies in the USA, and his books are a permanent feature on the bestsellers list.
