Biography
b. Miguel Dominguín Bosé, 3 April 1956, Panama. An actor as well as a singer-songwriter, Bosé is something of a superstar in Spain. His musical career began in the early 70s as the 17-year-old teen-idol behind the hit single "Linda". His output since then has covered over thirty albums, the majority of which have reached number 1 in Spain, though he is almost as popular throughout South America and parts of Southern Europe. Just as impressive is his acting history, which includes appearances in over 20 movies such as Pedro Almodovar's Tacones Lejanos (aka High Heels) and La Reine Margot. The latter won two Cannes Film Festival awards in 1994. Seeking an international breakthrough with his 1994 album, Under The Sign Of Cain, Bosé recruited talents such as Chris Hughes (producer to Tears For Fears), Andy Ross (ex-Immaculate Fools), Simon Jeffes, flamenco guitarist Vicente Amigo and Irish piper Davey Spillane. It was promoted by a single written by Bosé and produced with Ross Cullum (a veteran of work with Enya), titled "They're Only Words". A car accident in the late 90s briefly slowed the prolific Bosé down.
