Description
Eddie Vedder playing with Iron Maiden after they jammed with Kurt Cobain.
Biography
Rotzak started playing together in early 2007 after Brad Heller contacted Neal Nyssen via a flyer that Nyssen had posted advertising a bass player looking for a band. Heller had talked to drummer Kevin Swartz in late 2006 regarding starting a band and Heller brought in Swartz to jam with himself and Nyssen. After playing together for a few months, the trio decided to add a singer. The band tapped Michael Sloan for vocal services and called themselves "The Aimless." A few months later the band separated from Sloan citing musical and artistic differences. Nyssen suggested Aaron Young take over vocal responsibilities. Nyssen and Young were high school friends and had been in a band called Pipe Layers Union from 2003 to 2005. The band requested Young audition and was impressed by his talent. They later invited him to join and changed their name to Rotzak.
