On January 1st, 2006, smoking in venues and other closed areas was banned in Spain. There had been a lot of debate around the issue during the last quarter of 2005, but the law was finally enforced. On January 2nd, 2006, the Spanish press debated whether the law was being respected or not. Some newspapers offered images, this is one of them.

The practice of "carbon copy" was once common on the typewriter to literally make "carbon copies". But that was a long time ago.
