Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa

~ July 23, 2007 at 21:27 (Views: 78 )

I have listened to this cover of Mrs. McGrath more than 60 times today... I had forgotten how good The Boss is at covering...

Oh, Missis McGrath, the sergeant said,
Would you like to make a soldier out of your son, Ted?
With a scarlet coat, and a three-cocked hat,
Now Missis McGrath, wouldn't you like that?
Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa
Too-ri-oo-ri-oo-ri-aa.

Oh Mrs. McGrath lived by the seashore
For the space of seven long years or more;
Till she saw a big ship sail into the bay,
Here's my son, Ted, wisha, clear the way!
Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa
Too-ri-oo-ri-oo-ri-aa.

Oh, Captain, dear, where have ye been
Have you been in the Meditereen?
Will ye tell me the news of my son, Ted?
Is the poor boy livin', or is he dead?
Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa
Too-ri-oo-ri-oo-ri-aa.

Ah, well up comes Ted without any legs
An in their place he had two wooden pegs,
She kissed him a dozen times or two,
Saying, Holy Moses, 'tisn't you.
Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa
Too-ri-oo-ri-oo-ri-aa.

Oh then were ye drunk, or were ye blind
That ye left your two fine legs behind?
Or was it walkin' upon the sea
Wore your two fine legs from the knees away?
Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa
Too-ri-oo-ri-oo-ri-aa.

Oh, I wasn't drunk and I wasn't blind
But I left my two fine legs behind.
For a cannon ball, on the fifth of May,
Took my two fine legs from the knees away.
Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa
Too-ri-oo-ri-oo-ri-aa.

Oh, Teddy, me boy, the old widow cried,
Yer two fine legs were yer mammy's pride,
Them stumps of a tree wouldn't do at all,
Why didn't ye run from the big cannon ball?
Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa
Too-ri-oo-ri-oo-ri-aa.

All foreign wars I do proclaim
Between Don John and the King of Spain
And by herrins I'll make them rue the time
That they swept the legs from a child of mine.
Wid yer too-ri-aa, fol de diddle aa
Too-ri-oo-ri-oo-ri-aa.

Is Sexy Sadie The Next RadioHead or maybe not?

~ March 10, 2007 at 6:59 (Views: 111 )

Sexy Sadie is my discovery of this week. I listened to them in MyStrands Indie Radio early this week and I have listened to Nonsense hundreds of times since then. I have tried to learn more the band but just read on their blog that they are dismantling the band. What a pity! The worst thing is that they have been playing together for 14 years and have published 6 albums and I have just discovered them this week. I wish Indie Radios like MyStrands have been out there many years ago.

This is great - Sexy Sadie!!!!

I made this great discovery today Nonsense. Although I haven't been the first one as you can see here Sexy Sadie. They are one of the best indie rock bands I have listen to in a while.

Thanks to ekenlee I got this picture of the iPod's precursor few days ago. Pay attention to its mass storage system (up to 10 hours).

The 3gsm is over

~ February 17, 2007 at 10:25 (Views: 31 )

One more year the 3gsm is over. For 5 days and 5 nights the city was crowded by thousands of delegates who leave us with pictures like this:

I'm pretty sure next year we'll see more innovative applications than this year like mobile applications for finding drunk-friendly, public seats or mobile applications for sharing all the hotel rooms that remain free every night or better mobile alarm-clocks to reduce the risks of missing flights.

I did it! - La dolorosa

~ February 15, 2007 at 5:07 (Views: 14446 )

It took me almost 7 years but I finally did it. I managed to get one of my best friends in Barcelona to pay me a good lunch in a good restaurant. It has been a long path to get this. My friend who's an American became a Catalan the first day he came to Barcelona ("la pela es la pela"). However, last year I managed to get a free Catalan sausage sandwich. Today it was a nice lunch at Negro---who knows what next year is bringing.

Here you can say all the sequence of the payment...
