"The Guitar Man" Kanikapila Records, 1988
Every now and then, I get positively strange results on what this site thinks I'm listening to via iTunes. (George Szell and The Cleveland Orchestra don't exist, nor does Rafael Kubelik!) However, the strangest is "The Guitar Man" track supposedly by Dan Peek. Here's some data about The Peter Moon Band's 1988 release.
1. Country Luau (Leo Anderson Akana) 4:21
2. Only You (B. Ram, A. Rand) 3:59
3. To'u Hei Ahiahi (Larry Lindsey Kimura) 4:16
4. Hi'ilawe (S. Kalainaina) 4:37
5. Para Dançar O Samba (Peter Moon) 4:34
6. The Guitar Man (Peter Moon) 3:25
7. Stand Up (Leo Anderson Akana) 4:15
8. Lei No Ka'iulani (J. Edwards) 5:08
9. Woman With The Skin Of Gold (Leo Anderson Akana) 3:50
10. Para Dançar O Samba (Instrumental) 4:40
This album continued the Jazz explorations The Peter Moon Band was doing in the late 1980's. A more detailed listing of works by Peter Moon can be found at: http://www.mele.com/v3/artcat/moon.htm. Over the years, musch of his band's output has gone out of print, and most fans tend to hold on to the music CDs, which makes filling in the gaps of a matter of finding one at an Indie used CD shop. As for me, I'm still deciding if "Iron Mango" and "The Music Makers" will be added to the music CD collection.
