MyStrands' API is now Public & Free

Web developers are going to LOVE this! MyStrands has just released a public version of their "OpenStrands" web services.

Ever wonder about the "Powered by OpenStrands" logo at the bottom of the MyStrands pages? Well, OpenStrands are the web services that our miraculous Tech Team uses to publish everything from music recommendations to tagging playlists.

Now there's a public version, free for non-commercial web developers to incorporate into their sites. This "public" version of OpenStrands enables many of the same functions available through the MyStrands website.

The platform currently includes account, catalog, recommendation, playlist, tagging, and community services. Use of OpenStrands is free to registered MusicStrands users.

To start, you simply sign up as an OpenStrands Developer and download the SDK. You can get documentation and help at the OpenStrands site.

There's even a new OpenStrands Developers Group to share ideas and success stories.
